FGBMFI Christmas Drive 2018

Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International or FGBMFI in short, is a Christian-affiliated commu- nion which focuses in fellowship and gospel ministry dedicated for the general society. In December 2018, again, they were back with the Christmas event called ‘Christmas Drive’, with praise and worship being given and testimonial sharing included. We had the returning opportunity for the third consecutive year to collaborate with FGBMFI East Java again, designing the invitation card for 2018 Christmas event. The main objective was still the same : to make the invitation as secular as possible without getting rid of its spiritual evangelism cohort, annexing them to Christian-themed Christmas celebration. This year, however, we wanted to give different touch and concept compared to what we have done in the previous years. The portrait shape of the invitation card is already a stand-out. The shapes in the front part of the card tells about the birth of Jesus in the manger, with the silhouette of Mary & Joseph beside, and the wisemen far behind. The circle itself is an apparent laser cut pattern so we can see throguh the inner back surface of the card. We were initially inspired by a pocket or envelope which you can insert or take out anything you want from inside. There is another card inside which contains particular in- formation and the details of the event that needs to be carried on the D-date. Overall, our ideas was to make a seemingly Middle Eastern christmas feel fused with local touch, without omitting the gleaming lights and bokeh from the Christmas itself. Lots of classical middle eastern element can be found here, from the instru- ments, chords, palm leaves, scenes, and the colour scheme.
