Compassvale Crescent Singapore

Singapore

Another project in Singapore coming! This time, the project took place in one of the newest development at the northeast area, Compassvale district. The Compassvale Crescent features lots of Built-To-Order (BTO) apartment unit specifically designed to cater custom needs by the buyer, as that’s why they engaged designers! When it comes to preference, clients always have various taste. Here, we got a Singaporean Indian who are very much partciular to their roots and heritage amidst the modern Siingapore, so we are assigned to do a very modern minimalistic ambience with the touch of tropical shots in several corners of the house. The aim was to give neutral schemes like white, black, and warm wooden colors to add some nuance for the owner.

The house mainly features a very bright and white color tones, as they actually operated on a tight budget, but still gave us some freedom to do spatial ellaboration e.g.: drop ceilings, chic dining chairs, and some camouflaged bombshelter. Bombshelter is actually used as a bunker in each unit. That also functions as additional storage in the foyer. This time we took some leap in covering up the whole wall in one stretch and make it a laminate partition.

If you pay close attention, this whole unit is dressed up in wooden natural color, with white as the base canvas of the space. But juggling into the kid’s bedroom, you’ll find it different. Playful colors, mainly purple, to live up the nuance, because they are kids! Moving on to the bedroom, the platform below the bed provides more storage for their belongings to cater the limited space of the room. Minimum shelvings are used, we went for the wall panelings design and some sliding wardrobe. Overall, the client was satisfied with the project and gave two thumbs up!

Coming to the kitchen, you willl be greeted with monochromatic color of the cabinets. We did this according to client’s request, but also to make the area visually ‘bigger’, by not adding too many colors inside. Dark brown is used as that is one of the client’s favorite color, and black glasstone tempered glass as the kitchen backsplash. The flooring is pretty much simple of using matt grey tiles in accordance to the existing star white homogenious tiles of the unit. Camouflaged cabinet is used to cover the disposal shelter whereas their kitchen uses the contemporary larder pull-out cabinet, quite an easy and handy way to store kitchen spices and ingredients.
